I’ve always had a great interest in art ever since I could remember. Memories of watching my dad draw as a kid and drawing my favorite cartoons I still hold dearly. My dad drew my action figures, plans he had for our home and whatever I asked him too. I thought it was the coolest thing and I wanted to draw just like him.

My passion was playing basketball most of my life until I ruptured my patella tendon at 21 years old. Being bedridden for a couple months really gives you perspective on life and what you truly want to do with it. I watched a lot of tv and painted with oils for the first time.

I loved to draw as a kid but never thought I’d make a living with my art. I took a studio art class in college and painted superheroes for assignments. Friends requested paintings for their birthdays, the requests grew and I started charging small amounts for these early commissions.

Growing up I just drew with pencils and ink. Paint intimidated me because I’m partially colorblind. Now I love painting with oils as well as digitally.

My subjects include superheroes, villains and famous figures. Comicbooks, movies and sports heavily influence my work.

The craft keeps me present, it brings others joy and its something I truly love. Many people have inspired my art. I hope I’m able to inspire others to follow their passions as well.
